Vehicle Registration

Florida has the best rates for registering vehicles.
Most counties have no vehicle inspection requirements.
Florida does not have state income tax.
Your Mail Room address will qualify you to become a Florida resident in as little as one day.
Note: In Brevard County there is no emissions inspections.

To save time and aggravation, follow these steps in order:

1. Register your Automobile at one of the following locations:

  • You must provide:
    • Original title (or call 321-264-6935 in advance for instructions)
    • Proof of FL insurance at your Mail Room address.
  • Take your vehicle with you to the registration office to have its VIN checked.
  • Approximate Costs:
    • First time vehicle registration: $225.00
    • Title Transfer: $75.25
    • Annual Registration: $47.50 (prorated to month of birthday)
      (Annual renewal will come by mail.)

2. Obtain a Florida drivers license at one of the following locations:

  • The license cost is $48.00 and is valid for six years.

3. Obtain a Florida voter registration card.

  • Available at all drivers license offices or at the Voter Registration Office:

New Florida residents who hold a valid out-of-state license will only be required to take the vision examination. Written and driving examinations are no longer required, however it will be necessary to present valid Florida registration for any motor vehicles you own. An out-of-state drivers license with photo and other legal document showing date of birth (such as a passport, marriage license or Social Security Card) must be presented, as well as two documents showing residential address (Mail Room address).
